Saving Money Printing Coupons

  1. Before you even start, I’d set your printer settings to draft quality.  This is black and white and so it won’t use your color ink, and will use minimal amounts of black and white ink.  All stores I know of that accept internet printables, accept them in color or black and white. Go to “Control Panel“, click “Printers“, then right click your printer and choose “Printing Preferences.” Here you can change the quality to fast draft or quick printing.
  2. Saving Ink: Once you get those coupons printed, keep an eye out as they come out of the printer.  Sometimes there are large ads printed after the coupon.  Click on “cancel” and stop the printing – your coupon has already printed, no need to waste ink on the ad at the bottom.
